How it works

From work item to timesheet line.

  1. Step 01

    Set up a project

Give it a code, a client and its members. Every work item gets a key such as WEB-142, and billable time is set on the project.

  2. Step 02

    Work the items

Move tasks, bugs and stories through your workflow on a list or a board. Comment, mention colleagues and attach files.

  3. Step 03

    Log time on the item

Log time or run a timer on the work item. The work log becomes a line on that day’s timesheet, ready to submit.

Work items and time

Everything about the work, on the work item.

Each item carries its conversation, its files and the time spent on it, so nobody has to rebuild the week from memory.

Tasks, bugs and stories
With keys such as WEB-142 and the workflow statuses your project uses. A lead can change a project’s workflow.
Comments and files
Comments with mentions, and attachments up to 25 MB each.
Work logs and a timer
Log minutes or run a timer on any item. Billable time follows the project.

Boards and sprints Pro plan

Boards and sprints when the team wants them.

Boards, sprints with burndown and shared views are part of Pro. Sprints stay optional for teams that do not plan in them.

Boards
Columns are your workflow statuses, with swimlanes and work-in-progress counts.
Sprints with burndown
Plan a sprint, start it and close it. Burndown shows open items day by day for the team.
Shared views
Share a saved filter with the project. Sharing a view never shares access.

Burndown, open items Open Ideal

Open items by day: 15, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 9, 7. The ideal line falls from 15 to 0 over ten working days.

At close, open items go back to the backlog or into the next sprint. Figures are for the team, not per person.

Find and share

Find any item. Hear about the ones that matter.

People see only the projects they belong to. Lists, search and views respect that everywhere.

  • Lists and filters

A sortable list with filters for project, type, status, assignee, label, sprint and dates.

  • Search

Search keys, titles, descriptions and comments across your projects.

  • Saved views

Save any filter as a private view. On Pro, share it with the project.

  • Notifications

Assignments, mentions, status changes and comments arrive in each person’s inbox.

  • Daily digest Pro plan

A daily e-mail of the items a person can see. It never includes activity data.

  • Audited reads

A report about one named person is written to the audit log, like every other person-level read.

Import, export and API

Bring your backlog. Take your data with you.

Start from a Jira CSV export or an Excel template. Export to CSV or Excel whenever you like.

Import with a dry run Pro plan
Jira CSV or Excel. Map types, statuses and people first; nothing is written until you commit.
Export on every plan
Work items, comments, work logs and sprints as CSV or Excel.
REST API and webhooks Pro plan
A REST API with an OpenAPI description and signed outbound webhooks. API keys carry scopes and an expiry date.

What it is not

A bounded module, on purpose.

It is built for teams who log time against client work. It is not a replacement for a large issue tracker.

  • No custom fields or automation rules

Items have a fixed set of fields, and there is no rule engine today.

  • No roadmaps or portfolios

Projects, sprints and boards, without planning layers above them.

  • No live sync with other trackers

Import once from a Jira CSV export or an Excel template. There is no two-way connection.

Privacy note

No part of the projects module stores a window title or a list of applications. The only bridge from activity to a project is a time suggestion, and only the person it is about can see it.
