Billing
How billing works.
Per seat, monthly or annually, by card through Stripe or by invoice, with a GST tax invoice for every payment in India.
- Per seat
- Seats are counted each day: the number of people with an enrolled device, or the number of active devices if that is higher. If you use more seats than you pay for, admins see a notice in the app. Nothing is switched off.
- Monthly or annual
- Monthly plans are billed each month. Annual plans are billed once a year, in advance, at the lower rate. Both renew for the same number of seats until you cancel.
- Card through Stripe
- Pay by Visa, Mastercard or American Express on Stripe’s secure page. Card details are handled by Stripe. Indian cards register an RBI e-mandate at the first payment, and Stripe sends a notice before each renewal.
- Or by invoice
- Choose an invoice and pay by bank transfer or eNACH, due within a week. A rupee charge above ₹15,000 is billed by invoice, because a card renewal that large would need the cardholder’s approval every time.
- GST
- GST at 18% is added for customers in India. Every payment gets a GST tax invoice, with your GSTIN when you add one, under Billing in the dashboard. Customers outside India pay in US dollars, without GST.
- Free trial
- 90 days, up to 25 seats, every feature, and no card needed. Paying during the trial ends it that day. When it ends, the account waits in Billing until an admin chooses a plan.

Do I need a card to start the trial?
No. The trial is free for 90 days, for up to 25 seats, with every feature. You add payment details only when you choose a plan.
What happens when the trial ends?
The account waits in Billing until an admin chooses a plan, and the rest of ClearHours is unavailable until then. If you pay during the trial, the paid plan starts that day and unused trial days are not carried over.
What counts as a seat?
Seats are counted each day: the number of people with an enrolled device, or the number of active devices if that is higher. Core is for up to 100 seats and Pro for up to 250. Enterprise starts at 100 seats.
Can I change the number of seats or the billing period?
Yes. An admin changes them under Billing. On card payments, a change that raises the bill is invoiced pro rata at once, and a change that lowers it becomes a credit on the next invoice.
Which currency will I pay in?
Rupees if your billing address is in India, with GST at 18% added. US dollars anywhere else, without GST, as an export of services. The switch at the top of this page only changes the prices shown.
How can I pay?
By card on Stripe’s secure page (Visa, Mastercard or American Express; UPI and netbanking are not accepted), or by invoice, paid by bank transfer or eNACH. A rupee charge above ₹15,000 is billed by invoice, because of the RBI e-mandate rules for recurring card payments.
Do I get a GST tax invoice?
Yes. Customers in India get a GST tax invoice for every payment, with the place of supply and your GSTIN when you add one, under Billing in the dashboard. Customers outside India get an invoice without GST. Stripe’s receipt confirms a card payment but is not the tax invoice.
How do I cancel?
An admin cancels under Billing. The plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and is then not renewed.
What does Enterprise add?
Enterprise adds single sign-on with enforced SSO (Preview), SCIM 2.0 user and group provisioning (Preview) and audit log streaming to your SIEM. It raises the API limit to 3,000 requests a minute and comes with custom terms. It starts at 100 seats, is priced by quotation and is billed by invoice.

Customer data is stored in Microsoft Azure Central India (Pune), on every plan.
What does Preview mean?
Preview marks a feature that is built but has not yet run on its platform or with its production provider: on this page, the AI assistant for employees, single sign-on with enforced SSO and SCIM 2.0 user and group provisioning. The macOS and Linux agents and the desktop companion app are in Preview too. Windows is the supported platform today.
