Activity, attendance, timesheets and projects share one visible agent, one dashboard and one price per seat. People log time with their observed day beside it, managers approve it and approved time leaves as a payroll file.

How it fits together
Time reaches a timesheet only when a person logs it, and a payroll file only after a manager approves it.
The visible agent records the application in front, active and idle time and session events, under your policy.
Your policy
Active and idle time per day, by application and by the categories you define.
Automatic, descriptive
People log time against projects and work items, with their observed day beside it.
The person
A manager approves the period or rejects it with a reason. Approved periods are locked.
The manager
Locked time leaves as CSV or Excel in the layout you choose. ClearHours computes no pay.
An org admin
The four areas
Each area has its own page with the detail. All four are on every plan; a few parts are on Pro.
Timesheets built from work logs, with the active time the agent observed beside them.
Projects and work items in the same product as the time spent on them.
Active and idle time, applications and the categories you define, as descriptive reports.
Attendance from first and last activity or from clocking, with presence and shifts.
The employee side
People are told first, can see what is recorded about them and get help with their own timesheet. Nothing about them is scored.
Publish your notice from templates for India (DPDP), New York, Delaware and Connecticut, the UK and the EU, and collect acknowledgements in the agent and on the web.
A tray icon, a first-run notice and an entry in installed programs. No stealth or silent mode.
Every employee sees what is recorded about them, can download it, ask for erasure and raise a grievance.
Entries suggested from their own activity. Nothing is logged until they accept.
An AI assistant on Pro proposes changes, such as logging time, and the person confirms each one. Transcripts are visible only to them.
In the MYLABS companion app: today’s hours, open work items and pending suggestions, with quick actions the person confirms one by one.
For employees
The agent on your work computer is visible: a tray icon, a notice at first logon and an entry in installed programs. When a manager opens a page about you, that look is written to the audit log.
The application in front, window titles as your employer’s policy allows, active or idle time and logon, logoff, lock and unlock events. Working hours limit application and active or idle time. Device status and session events can still be reported outside them.
No screenshots, screen recording or keystrokes. No files, mail, messages, camera, microphone or location. No score or ranking of you.
Everything recorded about you, under My data. Download it, ask for erasure or raise a grievance, which gets a respond-by date within 90 days.

Connections
Payroll layouts, an API, webhooks, imports and enterprise identity. Each one says which plan it is on.
A REST API with an OpenAPI description, and API keys with scopes and expiry.
Signed outbound webhooks to your own systems.
CSV or Excel for Keka, greytHR, Zoho, Darwinbox, Tally and QuickBooks, or a generic layout. Check each against your payroll system’s current import template.
Bring a backlog in with a dry run first. Export to CSV or Excel on every plan.
Enterprise features: enforced SSO with domain verification by DNS and just-in-time provisioning, and SCIM 2.0 users and groups. Built, but not yet verified with a production identity provider.
Stream the audit log to your SIEM over signed HTTPS.
Boundaries
These are product decisions, written down and enforced in the code. No plan and no setting changes them.
Workforce monitoring excludes screenshots and keystrokes
The workforce agent and Companion do not make screen recordings or collect clipboard, files, mail or message contents, camera, microphone, location or biometrics. Optional Support and Email Smart handle content customers or mailbox members explicitly provide when enabled for controlled use.
No stealth mode
The agent is always visible, and people are told first.
No scores or rankings
No productivity scores, alerts about a person or automated decisions. People decide.
No automatic timesheets
Nothing is logged for anyone until they log it or accept a suggestion.
No pay calculation
Payroll files carry approved time. Your payroll system works out pay.
No secondary use of your data
Never used to train models, sold or shared across customers.
